First post

This is my very first post on my first blog ever. So I guess I should have come up with a snappier opening line than that to mark my plunge into the swirling vastness of the blogosphere. Like maybe paraphrasing the wonderful first line from the late, lamented Ray Bradbury’s classic novel Fahrenheit 451. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Okay, here we go…

Or maybe it wasn’t such a good idea because it’d be kinda weird to write this blog in the past tense. Plus, I’m not even sure if pleasure is the right word. It’s been pretty fun so far, but I’m only about 100 or so words into the process. It could end up being more like…

It was often mildly amusing although occasionally a bit on the irksome side to blog.

Not exactly Bradburyesque, is it? And if I were to use ‘It was a pleasure to blog’ as an opener, I would also have to write a catchy ending to match it. Like a lot of writers, I find coming up with catchy endings even harder than snappy beginnings. So I think I’ll just stick to the original plan…
